I know this may make a can of worms explode and that’s not my intention at all. I’m just simply making a blog about what my horse has been on for supplements. In Sunday’s early years, he was on Buckeye Nutrition and Excel Eq Oil. When he turned 4, I decided to switch him to Purina. Both products worked well for him. In March of 2023, the vet told me to pull him off everything because he may be diabetic. So, we did and just left him on Alfalfa and timothy hay and alfalfa and timothy-soaked cubes.
Because of this, he dropped quite a bit of weight and muscle tone and I panicked. I moved to a different barn, and he was back on hay rounds 24/7 and I was able to start him back on supplements. A different vet said I didn’t need to, but I wanted to help him as much as I could.
So, I started him on:
· 4 Cups of Purina Optimal, which helps with muscle and topline.
· 2 scoops of MadBarn Omneity that helps with hooves, digestion, and overall well-being.
· 1/3 cup of MadBarn W-3 Oil that helps with hooves, cardiovascular function, skin, and joint health.
· Vitamin E will ease muscle soreness, boosts the immune system, and help with stress when traveling.
· Prebiotics and Probiotics blend that help with digestion and performance.
· 2 scoops soaked of alfalfa timothy cubes.
When you write it down, it looks like a lot and it is, that’s why I’ve also included pictures because in some ways, I can’t believe I’m feeding him all these additional supplements when I really don’t need to.
I started talking to other people about his conditioning and muscle tone and getting him back into the best shape possible. What else is there that can do the same as what he is currently on? It’s still hard to believe but after these talks, I managed to find two products that will replace the 6 he was on.
Hard to believe, isn’t it? But after reading every page possible on their website https://www.gsorganicsolutions.com/, I wanted to get Sunday on G’s Organics as soon as possible. He started on Chia Seeds and Spirulina Tablets on August 3, 2023. I took before pics, and I’ll share those after he has been on these products for 4 weeks. I can’t wait to see the progress!
So, as of August 3, 2023, he’s on:
· 75ml (50g) of Chia Seeds
· 30ml of Spirulina Tablets
· 1 scoop soaked of alfalfa timothy cubes
